Find the Missing Number: Check a Number Rule Against Every Visible Position

One difference is only a clue

Find the Missing Number asks players to complete a sequence from given options before time expires. Begin by comparing more than one neighboring pair. A difference that explains the first two values may fail on the next pair. Treat a possible rule as a proposal to check, rather than accepting the first pattern that produces one of the offered answers.

Test the gap in both directions

Suppose a hypothetical sequence reads two, four, an empty position and eight. Adding two would suggest six, but the important habit is checking that the same explanation connects every displayed step. Other sequences may require a different rule. This example illustrates the checking process and is not a claim that this exact puzzle appears in the game.

Use the options as a final check

After forming a rule, compare the candidate with the available answers. Starting only from the options can encourage choosing a number that looks plausible without explaining the sequence. The listing does not document difficulty progression, scoring or the amount of time provided. Read the actual timer and instructions. A useful review question after an answer is whether your explanation covered all the visible numbers, even if a hurried selection happened to be correct.

Use the whole sequence before choosing the missing value.
